Durhamland~
Sorry for not writing in so long! >3<
I’ve been very busy recently with college and whatnot, but here’s a little update on my trip to Durham, which I returned from yesterday. c:
After staying overnight at Steffi’s on Friday, we got up at half six on Saturday morning & set off on the incredibly long and rainy six-hour journey up north.
To occupy ourselves we played the classic staring-into-other-people’s-cars game; lots of drivers were singing along to their radios, which was vair amusant to watch. :’D
ALSO we drove past a hyowge sign in a field that read “PREPARE TO MEET YOUR GOD”.. which was a little disconcerting. >3< We were like “Zong we’re gonna diie~!”
I just finished eating a delicious bacon sammich with fried mushrooms. Augh. <3 Just thought you should know.
ANYWAY, at one point we stopped for lunch at a Little Chef – roadside restaurants which are well-known for serving terrible food. However, they’d apparently upped their game recently; so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a lasagne, which was pretty yummy once you got past the inch of melted cheese on top. :’D Definitely not worth the money, though.
We arrived in Durham at around half two, parked up in the multistorey and went for a mosey.
What a GORGEOUS little city! <3 It’s absolutely tiny but so quaint and friendly. The bridges over the river are really lovely, and cobbled streets very reminiscent of something out of Harry Potter. :’D There was an outdoor and indoor market (scarves and naice smells, yay <3), and we loved the area around the cathedral, castle & university library. I had no idea what I was expecting the city to be like; but it’s wonderful! I’m definitely going to apply to the university. c:
Here are a few photos:
It was then time to splurge some money on the very modern little High Street; I purchased a bunch of stuff in Superdrug such as facial products, dry shampoo (LIFE SAVER), make-up, etc. before hitting New Look, where I found a pair of gorgeous jeans that ACTUALLY FIT. This is very unusual & exciting for me, you understand; I’m a UK size 6 (US size 2) with rather short legs, and it’s normally so hard to find skinny jeans that fit properly. c: I also bought a purple cardi from here before heading off to River Island, which is a fairly expensive but BEAUTIFUL shop. <3 Hehe I purchased two long-sleeved tops for winter (one dark grey, the other leopard print), a long floaty cream top and a stunning tassled gold & cream scarf. c:
At around five, we headed to our Premier Inn; our room was very cosy, and we spent a while watching back-to-back Top Gear episodes on the epic channel that is Dave before getting poshed up & heading back out for dinner. Durham is even MOAR stunning at night, with all the lights reflecting off the river, buskers making pretty musics in the streets and students roving around having a good time. c: We ate in a really sweet little restaurant called The Cellar Door; I had a delicious plate of penne pasta with a spicy tomato & pepper sauce. MUCH better value than Little Chef! :’D
However, I discovered how much of a lightweight I am at times; I had drunk not even a whole glass of white wine before starting to feel very giggly and woozy. Mahgawd I am such a cheap date! Steffi had to act like my mother and force me to drink water. >3<
After the meal, we whizzed back to the Inn in a huge seven-seater taxi and watched back-to-back QI episodes on Dave (at one point they were discussing how you can make a very stylish apron from a sperm whale’s penis) before falling asleep. The beds were SO COMFY augh~ <3
The next morning, we had a bit of a liein as the clocks went back an hour!
Getting up at half seven (which of course felt like half eight), we packed up our stuff and pranced back off into the centre for another little mosey around the colleges (which look very nice indeed) and lastminute shopping, before the long journey back home to the Forest of Doom. I am SUCH a retail junkie! >3< I bought some more earrings (little delicate silver rose ones), a huge pearl bead bracelet and a pair of black leather slouch boots. :’D
I spent over £130 shopping on the trip; which is actually fine, because I will get my £50 allowance put into my bank on Saturday and the £100 Education Maintenance Allowance Bonus will also come through soon. <3 Yesh, I get paid to go to college! I get £10 a week, and £300 in three lots of bonus payments throughout the year. c: It’s pretty awesome.
Phew! What a trip~ >3< All in all, it was extremely enjoyable and convinced me to apply to the university, for definite~ c:

It Made My Day.
“Never mix Dorian Grey with cheese.”
Too late! c: I saw Dorian Grey on Sunday, and thoroughly LOVED it. I’m desperate to read the actual book now! *searches Amazon* I wasn’t expecting the end to be quite so horrific, though, and I’m going to have to go see it again because I covered my eyes for most of the penultimate scene. >3< I’m not going to spoil it for anyone intending to watch the movie, but GO SEE IT. And don’t consume cheese afterwards like I did; you will get the most frightening nightmares. o:
In other nudes, we have shoved long metal probes. Yes.
But oui, something is kicking off within our group at the moment due to me having a great big mouth. I just want it all to go away, now, because too many people are getting themselves involved and it’s just ridiculous. >3< It’s all down to one person to sort themselves out. No meddling needed, plzkthnx. c:
Also, my walls are being steadily smothered in posters! Seeing as I have to resit three exams in January and one in March (the total cost was over £60, eep!), as well as four A2 Level exams in January and more in May, I have decided to make revision materials after each topic covered in class. Yay for study guides that condense things nicely for my brain! Maybe I am just not tuned into turtle-language (my Chemmy teacher very closely resembles a turtle). :B
LOLOL something muchoes hilarieuse occurred this fine morn! Our Physics teacher is notorious for her failed demonstrations, and today was to be no different. She was trying to fill a fabric tube with dry ice by squirting carbon dioxide into it from a highly-pressurised, never-before-opened fire extinguisher; but lost total control over the tube and it flailed wildly, blowing dry ice ALL over her. The class was in total shock for a second before bursting into applause. :’D Her hair had so much volume after that. IMMD.
College-work-wise, I guess things are going pretty well right now. c: Geoggers is always a bit of a doddle, especially when we’re doing Tectonics, because I love it. <3 I seem to be flying through Maths on par with the class nerd, which is vair, vair unusual (but I’m hardly complaining; thank you, brain!), and Physics is also rather easy to keep up with at the moment. c: My only problem is Chemmy (I just can’t seem to follow much in class); but as soon as I read my study guide afterwards, I understand the majority of it. >3<
Love-wise, I’m over my ex (although the memories are still very special, they always will be) and haven’t been particularly bothered by rumours flying around about him and his new squeeze. The person I want, the one I gave everything up for, is now taken. But ho hum, pig’s arse; there are more important things to worry about, currently. c:
Moar updates coming soon!

Don’t Touch Me There
Wow, I’m lax with this blog. >3<
Sorry for not posting anything in aages! Things have been a little rollercoasteresque recently, and I haven’t been online mooch. I still love you all! I do. <3
Things for me right now are looking awesome! I’ve been through a ruff patch involving some depression and more weightloss, but now that I’m feeling happier my appetite should hopefully return. c: The single life is treating me very nicely; although I lost someone special to me, I’m really moving forward and am able now to look back on those two years with fondness rather than sadness. It’s great to see him happy; and although we’re not currently talking, I’m shure we will in time. I’m honestly fine with our current situation, though, which is more than I would have been able to say a week ago while going through a nasty breakdown. >3< But thanks to my incredible friends, I got through it; now life’s looking bright!
And extremely crazy. Geez, I forgot how dangerous it is for me to be single. Over the last few weeks I have had one ex (from five years ago) begging me for another relationship, another (from three years ago) wanting to meet up, a guy who has fancied me for three years inviting me round his place, my most recent ex’s best friend announcing his love for me (and that he mentally undresses me in college.. as Jacob said, it could be worse. He could be physically undressing me), plus a whole host of other randoms chatting me up and asking to meet. Obviously, this is a gigantic egobooster; but having to let them all down makes me feel rather cruel. I can’t help not being interested. >3< DO NOT WANT!
Noes, I’m not suddenly lesbian. Only halfway there, as always. ;D My eye is just stuck on someone who is currently unavailable, due to being occupied on international business. I think only a couple of people will know what I mean by that, and I do hope they don’t read this. One of them in particular. c; FUUU~
Moving swiftly on, I’m really getting on top of my college work; I’m going to have quite a lot of exams this year due to retakes, so I’m creating study material as I go through the course to make sure I’m not overloaded when it comes to exam time. c: Cue pretty Chemmy posters all over my walls! Turtley teacher is epic fail, but study guide is epic win.
IN OTHER NUDES last night was rather amusant on a mahusive scale. With knobs on. Steffi, Hannah & James came round mine, where we hung out in my room analysing our dreams (dream dictionary ftw; why would anyone dream about galoshes? What ARE galoshes?) before my dad bought us some drinkies and we went down to the woods like bad children. Cue getting tipsy on a ridiculously small amount of alcohol and playing a rather disturbing game of Truth or Dare (also known as, if you remember, Bender or Orgy). We now have much blackmailable material under our belts/in our underwear. After zis, we went back to mine, where Owen joined us and we went down to the pub, where the Open Mic night was going on. We played card games out back until eleven, when everyone buzzed off homeos. James & I had to keep being separated due to squabbling. I still insist that he started it. >3<
There is also a huge spider in the bathroom that watches me while I shower. The little perve hides behind the sink whenever dad tries to remove it, and it pops out again whenever I take my clothes off. Disgraceful. :’D
That’s all for now, my sexy ponies! I’ll be sure to update moar often from now on. c:

Hello, London Calling!
London. Was. Amazing.
After staggering out of bed at half seven, packing and repacking my bags to check I had everything (I still managed to leave behind my sanity) and bundling myself into the car, I met Steffi at the bus station. We had wanted to grab foodies for the long journey beforehand, but we were too early for even the supermarket to be open; our bus arrived quarter of an hour before schedule, however, so there was no waiting around!
When we showed the driver our tickets, he sidled up to me (getting waay too close) and asked me how old I was. Being as naïve as I am (pff), I thought he was talking about my height; but when I said I was seventeen, he put his arm around me and made comments to other passengers about how I was “just his size”.. only afterwards did I realise that he was actually being incredibly and disgustingly sexual, checking I was legal before he did so. Uggh. >3<
The journey itself was pretty good; stopping off at services to grab refreshments & being total motormouths as usual, until we arrived at Victoria Station and met with Steffi’s cousin/our friendly London tourguide! c: We toddled off for munchies at the Maccy D’s/KFC in the station (the station was seriously like our local Mall in itself, with two floors and a whole load of shops) before hopping on the tube to dump our stuff at Steffi’s cousin’s lovely Londony house in Wimbledon. She has two really cute greyhound goggies! >3<
I have got to say at this point how I was immediately SO impressed with the London Underground. In the lobby you buy your day ticket from the automated machine, go through the gate, hop onto an escalator, hop off the escalator, stroll onto the platform and there’s your train. Almost bang on, every single time. I just can’t get over how efficient the system is! >3< It wasn’t too busy either, thankfully, due to the fact it was Bank Holiday; although Notting Hill carnival was on. Despite that, we only had to stand about half the time – which wasn’t really a problem as it was just the really short journeys. c:
Anyways, we went to have a peep around the UCL campus; setting eyes upon the main building (the first picture at the end of this entry), I was won over straight away! >3< It looks like an AMAZING place, and is situated in such a nice part of London. The student accommodation is really close by, and one of the buildings used for Earth Science is VERY sexy. I’m definitely applying! <3
We then grabbed the tube to Oxford Street; emerging out onto the pavement, we found ourselves right in front of the BIGGEST Topshop store in the world! >3< We could only spend five minutes in there as it was Sunday, so closed at half five; but vowed to return the next day. After popping in and out, we went sightseeing; and MY GAWD was it awesome.
We took the tube to Leister Square, which is pretty much cinema land; then onwards to Trafalgar Square, where we sat on Nelson’s Column (ooh-err) watching a kid dressed as a skunk perform the Thriller dance on the podium, and some drama students (we guessed) pulling around a dining table with a birthday cake on (see the end of this post for the confusing madness). I think it was all in celebration of Michael Jackson’s birthday. o:
When it begun to get dark, we hopped down and made our way to Big Ben! I was so struck by its majesty (that is a TERRIBLE clock pun, I’m so sorry); the gold leaf decorating the top was so beautiful. <3 We wandered past and over Westminster Bridge, from which there was a wonderful view up the River Thames to the London Eye! There are a couple of little shots taken from the bridge in the gallery.
We then strolled down the east bank of the River Thames; past polkadot trees, a mini beach rave, the London Eye itself and a brightly-lit carousel before settling on a giant sofa made of astro turf outside the National Theatre. We sat there for what must have been nearly an hour until it got dark, then climbed up onto Jubilee Bridge. OH MY GEWDNESS what a view! Everything was beautifully lit up in stunning colours; the Eye in blue and Big Ben in green. See the gallery at the bottom for snapshots!
Our tummies were rumbling by now, so we found a really nice-looking Italian restaurant and settled down inside for a quick nom. I had a totalement délicieuse plate of pasta in arrabiata sauce, sprinkled with parmesan, for just £6.95 – which is pretty gewd for eating out in such a big city!
After spending the night at Steffi’s cousin’s, we got up bright & early and zoomed off again to the utterly ginormous Topshop. I couldn’t resist spending a bit of monies; especially when I saw an ADOHABOH vest top featuring a red telephone box being used by Big Ben, captioned ‘London Calling’. I loves it! <3 I also bought a floaty cream top and a bunch of cute underwear~ >3<
Seriously though, the store is MAHUSIVE. There are five floors (each bigger than the one in our home city); the top two containing maternity/baby wear, the ground floor filled with accessories such as scarves & bags (plus adorable vintage and kawaii trinkets), the one below (oui, it went underground) was for all the clothes, and the one below that contained a gigantic shoe lounge plus rails of independant designer stuff and a café! Amazingness. <3
After a bite to nom in the café we zipped off to the British Museum to have a peep at their awesome Egyptian collection; eesh, some of the mummies were a little freaky! I loved the little mummified cats, though, and it was just amazing to see how much incredible detail went into painting the sarcophaguses and such. Unfortunately we couldn’t spend very long in there as our bus home was at half four, and there was still more to do; so off we went to Camden Town!
OHEMGEE I had heard so much about Camden Market; and man, was it crazy! Everything was so ALIVE and colourful, with so many stalls to visit; we only had about quarter of an hour there, but I bought a nice teal dress/top and cute purse before we had to leave & grab our stuff ready to catch the bus. >3< I am definitely going to visit London again to explore Camden properly someday!
We left it pretty late to get the bus, so had to really rush to get our stuff together & leave; then, everything depended on the tube! We arrived in Victoria with about five minutes to go, and had to literally sprint to the departures gate at the bus station. We were on time; but our bus had gone! It must have left much too early, because it would have driven past us as we were running up the road (I was checking each bus front to make sure they weren’t ours, in case we had to flag it down) and some other people who had missed it (and must have been there earlier than us) were in front of us in the queue when we went to query about somehow getting on another bus. We had to pay another £23 to catch a bus to Newport (20 miles away from where we were meant to be going to), & are definitely complaining to get our money back as the bus must have left at least five minutes early, and the driver was supposed to do a head count to make sure everyone was there before driving away (as our eventual driver on the new bus did; even waiting around for someone who was late). Adding to that the perviness of the first driver, we better get a refund! >:
All in all, the trip was extremely eventful and overall really fantastic! It made me definite about applying to UCL, and really changed my perceptions of the city (as my parents are don’t-go-out-in-London-unless-you-want-to-get-stabbed types – the majority of the city is nothing like that at all!). VISIT LONDON NAO it is amazing. <3
And now, my sexy ponies; la petite gallerie de Londontown! Oui, oui.
Apologies for the ginormous entry! Moar updates coming soon~

So, today was results day.
And let’s just say I over-estimated slightly on one of the Chemistry units (the assessed practical, which was very difficult to prepare for) but am definitely not complaining about what I achieved; especially as these exams were the hardest yet! The government’s really gone O.T.T. to make them more challenging rather than just facing the fact we’re getting smarter and letting us feel good about all the hard work we put in. I achieved:
Geography ~ A
Physics ~ A
Chemistry ~ B
Maths ~ B
I did SO much better in one of the Math exams than I had previously thought! Also, adding up all percentages from all exams, it comes to 83% ~ an A overall! Hehe. It doesn’t really work like that, though, I know. >3<
But, seeing as I slightly overestimated my Chemistry performance, I will now eat my panties as promised in the previous post. *stuffs in mouth*
Mmf, mmmf, mff. Mfff mmf mff, mmmmmffff.
Delicious.
After collecting our results, we shimmied down town to cheer ourselves up (as nearly everyone was disappointed in some way). I had THE most delicious milkshake in the café called an After Eight; it was basically like drinking melted mint ice cream, with cream, marshmallows & choccie sprinkles on top. Om nom nom. <3 I sat there wearing my French moustache very seriously. All the old people in there were staring at me as if I was a strange girl wearing fake facial hair or something.
Although I should really be saving my monies for a camera/driving lessons, I felt I deserved to spoil meself a bit; so went on a little shopping spree. I bought a long cream cardigan, a pair of denim hotpants, a red, white & navy check festival shirt, a dark grey leopard-print cardigan, a pink leopard-print phone sock, leopard-print earrings (can you tell I love leopard-print?), some dry shampoo (absolute livesaver), neon yellow legwarmers and a few make-up items. Phew! c:
ROFL in Superdrug they were selling these automatic can-openers with a commercial tape playing above, containing scenes of various people trying ridiculous methods of opening cans and giving up, then “discovering” this “wonderful” new “automatic” can-opener. Since when did anyone have trouble opening cans with regular can-openers? Surely you’d have to have an IQ of about 40 or awful arthritis not to be able to operate one, especially in the ways these people were trying to (which included hitting the can with it repeatedly and looking confused). ANYWAYS, there was a bit with an elderly woman making the most hilarious faces. Click here to see the video!
IN OTHER NUDES, last night was so utterly hilarious. :’D My American seestur, Deensie, and I engaged in a hawt webcam chat which involved much false-moustache-wearing, grooving and general awesome nonsense. Here are some screencaps of moi:
LOLOL the Ali G one at the end ghjkgd.
There are bits of moustache strewn all over my bedroom. It looks like a Frenchman was having a vicious fight with Nigel Thornberry and a walrus, when suddenly they all vapourized and left their facial hair behind.
UGH ALSO before I was about to go to bed, I knelt down to say goodnight to my kitty, who was sleeping on my clean washing (typical). Out of the corner of my eye I saw something a bit odd on the carpet and leaned in closer. It wasn’t easy to see as my carpet is dark, and the thing was dark, too; at first, I thought it was a big dead moth or something. But then, when I was about three inches away from it, a leg twitched and I realised it was a seriously effing gigantic spider! >n< I’m not even kidding, it was humungous and just came out of nowhere (ooh-err).
So I bolted onto my bed and sat there shaking like a leaf, texting people “shit, shit, help me”; but of course no one replied as it was 3 o’clock in the morning. In the end I had to yell for my dad to come get it out. Buffy, in the meanwhile, just kind of gazed placidly at the thing. She is a useless spider-catcher. >:
That’s it fer naow, my babes! Have a great weekend~
Love, Kezzi. x
